Home to the Wild Atlantic Way, the Blarney stone and freshly brewed Guinness, Ireland boasts the longest defined coastal touring route in the world. It's a spectacular mix of rugged coastline and mysterious hilly backdrops.

It's lush and very, very green and there's a reason for this, it rains a lot, so pack a raincoat. Ireland has a rich, cultural heritage, and around a thousand castles are dotted across the country. There are also many ancient megalithic sites, some of which have been dated older than Stonehenge or the pyramids. Many of them are in ruins, but some like Bunratty Castle, are preserved in their medieval splendour and well worth exploring.
